Surrounded by the iconic peaks of the Canadian Rocky Mountains, visitors experience stunning 360 degree views from the Village terminal and the Standish Viewing Deck. From this vantage point, they can take in vistas of three pristine alpine lakes: Laryx, Grizzly and Rock Isle. In summer, a 12 km trail system opens and is accessed via Banff’s biggest gondola, with 8-passenger cabins starting at 1,659 m and rising to 2,159 m. From the Village, guests ride the Standish Chairlift to 2,385 m (7,825 ft) for even broader views, then walk to the Standish Viewing Deck and along Rock Isle Road with a trail host, learning about local wildlife, mountain history and this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
