Eaton Falls Trail

Eaton Falls Trail in Willmore Wilderness Park near Sulphur Gates offers a family-friendly 7.1 km hike with rewarding waterfall views. This well-defined, fire road-style trail starts at the Sulphur Gates Staging Area at the end of Sulphur Gates Road and includes some challenging hills at the beginning. After about 2 km, hikers reach a moose antler sign marking the junction to the falls, where a right turn leads along the final 0.6 km to the narrow waterfall carved into loose sedimentary rock. Large rocks and crumbly cliffs near the base create slippery, exposed conditions, so visitors should use caution and avoid walking under the cliffs. Grizzly and black bears inhabit Willmore Wilderness Park, so hikers should carry bear spray, know how to respond to an encounter, tell someone their plans, bring food, water and emergency supplies, and pack out all garbage.
