Medicine Lodge Ski Area in Central Prairies region offers family-friendly downhill skiing and snowboarding with accessible terrain for all levels. A short drive from Bentley, Lacombe, Ponoka, Rimbey, Sylvan Lake, Red Deer, Eckville and Rocky Mountain House, this hill features just under 500 vertical feet of skiable area. Visitors can explore 13 runs that range from gentle beginner slopes to more advanced descents, making it easy for mixed-ability groups to spend the day together. Ski and snowboard rentals are available on site, so travellers can pack light or try the sport for the first time without investing in gear.
