The Bellevue Underground Mine

Equipped with a miner's helmet and lamp, the Bellevue Underground Mine tour takes you 1,000 feet into the mine where you will be 150 feet below the surface. Guided by knowledgeable Heritage Interpreters, this family-friendly experience lets you explore the mine's inner workings while immersing yourself in the rich mining history of the Crowsnest Pass. Tour Details: Duration: One hour Temperature: Around 4-6°C; dress warmly. Terrain: Consistent elevation; packed coal and gravel floor. Tunnel Size: Lowest point is 8' in height at the entrance, and increases from there. Accessibility: Strollers, walkers, wheelchairs, and wagons welcome. Lighting: Dark inside, headlamps and some built-in lighting are provided.
