Two Jack Lake

Two Jack Lake, located near Banff in the Canadian Rockies, offers lakeside trails and calm waters ideal for paddling, picnicking and relaxed mountain views. Visitors follow a soft forest trail where sunbaked pine needles crunch underfoot and the air is scented with evergreens. Along the shoreline, hikers, paddlers and picnickers share views of Mount Rundle rising above the turquoise water, especially stunning during golden hour as the sky shifts from glowing sunset to rosy twilight. The Minnewanka Loop drive to the lake is a popular place to watch for elk, bighorn sheep and, with luck, bears.
